From late September through November is typhoon season on the central coast, with flooding in most years during October and November. • Winter season is from December to February. It is a drizzle, grey skies, low humidity, and temperatures of 10–17°C in Hanoi and 0–5°C on cold snaps in Sapa and appear on the highest passes of Ha Giang.
• Spring season is from March to April. The weather is warm and pleasant, with mild temperatures of 20–27°C, gradually clearing skies, and low rainfall.
• The summer season is from May to September, turning hot and intensely humid, with Hanoi regularly reaching 35–38°C and from June to August delivering the year's heaviest northern rainfall in concentrated afternoon storms. 
• Autumn season is from October to November. The climate is dry air, blue skies, and comfortable 22–28°C days.

Central Vietnam's climate

Central Vietnam includes Hue, Da Nang, Hoi An, Quy Nhon, and Nha Trang. Dry season is from May to October. There are many stunning beaches along the central. The dry season runs from November to April, with December to February offering the most reliable sunshine and the lowest humidity of the southern year.

The wet season runs from May to October. You witness the short rain, intense afternoon downpours lasting one to two hours, typically between 14:00 and 17:00. However, mornings are dry and bright. So, a Mekong Delta tour from Ho Chi Minh is the best choice. 

From September to October, the Mekong River has rainfall peaks, levels run highest, and low-lying streets in Ho Chi Minh City flood. Phu Quoc has rain season from May to October with rougher seas, helping to reduce diving visibility and cancel some boat trips.
