Buu Long Pagoda

Formerly, Buu Long Pagoda was a small meditation hall and established in 1942 by Mr. Vo Van Tuong who was a famous lay practitioner. In 2007,  the guidance of Venerabale Vien Minh, the well-known  guidance in the Theravāda school, decided to renovate this pagoda on a large scale.

The pagoda is a unique combination between Southeast Asian, Thailand. Looking far, the pagoda has yellow colors, the same as Thailand pagodas. However, Buu Long pagoda still symbolizes Vietnamese architecture through dragon and crane motifs.

The pagoda has a main stupa, height of 56m and surrounded by 4 auxiliary towers. It is the largest and largest stupa in Vietnam.

How to get to Buu Long pagoda? 

Buu Long Pagoda is situated in the former Thu Duc city. It is quite far in the city center. It will take about 30 minutes to 1 hour to get to the pagoda. 

From the city center to Buu Long Pagoda, you can transfer by motorbike, car, or taxi. If you kike freedom and flexibli you should choice motorbike, The price of renting is about 100.000 - 200.000 VND/day 

There are many public taxis around the city such as Vinasun, Mai Linh. Besides, you can download Grab car, Bee car and Xanh SM car to book a car. 

However, the best option is renting a private car with a driver to explore many attractions in Saigon. Due to its heavy jam, if you first come to Saigon, you will be unfamiliar this problem. Booking a private car, you can prepare your schedule and flexible in your trip.
