Tan Son Nhat international airport

This airport only serves mainly domestic flight however on january 2020, Can Tho airport introduced 2 international routes to Korea and Taiwan

Cat Bi International Airport

Lien Khuong International Airport

Lien Khuong airport is about 30lm south of Dalat city and is approximately 14.000 square meters. 

Dalat has a height of 3.08m and 45 m in width. The capacity of the airport is about 2 million passengers each year. 

 

Dien Bien Phu Airport

• Address: Ward 10, Thanh Truong Ward, Dien Bien Phu City, Dien Bien Province

Dien Bien Phu airport is about 4km away from the  Dien Bien city and largest airport in the Northwest region of Vietnam. 

This airport was built in the 1940s and became a military base for resistance against the French in 1954. 

It was not until 1958, Dien Bien airport had round trip flights from Hanoi to Dien Bien for 10 months.

Tho Xuan Airport

The first civilian flight landed at Thanh Hoa airport  on February 5, 2013, opening a new period for Tho Xuan airport. 

In 2019, Tho Xuan airport welcomed over 1 million visitors, highlighting the   importance of development for the airport. 

 Chu Lai Airport

• Address: Chu Lai Open Economic Zone, Tam Nghia Commune, Nui Thanh District, Quang Nam Province
• Airport Code: VCL

Chu Lai airport is located in Quang Nam province, where to serve passengers to travel Quang Nam, Quang Ngai.

In the war, this airport became the Chu Lai air base for the public of Vietnam Air Force and the United States Air Force. 

Afterwards, The government decided to build the Chu Lai Open Economic Zone. So, Chu Lai airport was expanded and upgraded for civilian purposes. 

 

Tuy Hoa Airport

• Address: Phu Thanh Ward, Tuy Hoa City, Phu Yen Province
• Airport Code: TBB

Tuy Hoa airport is formerly known as Dong Tac airport and is about 10 km away from Phu Yen province. 

This airport is managed by Vietnam airport  corporation and welcomes over 500.000 passengers each year. 

Tuy Hoa airport was built in 1960 and served for war operations. In 2013, Vietnam airports Corporation ( AVC) invested in Tuy Hoa airport to build civil aviation. 

Pleiku airport

Pleiku airport is about 6 km away from Pleiku city, Gia Lai and is located next to National Highway 14. 

The airport plays an important role in serving the military, development of economic, national security and tourism industry Western region Nguyen. 

The airport was built in the 1960s for military purposes and became the Vietnam air force on march 18 1975. 

Currently, the airport was upgraded to ensure safety for each flight.

Dong Hoi Airport

Dong Hoi airport is located in Loc Ninh commune, Quang Binh province and was built by the French. In the period from 1955 to 1975, this airport was used to serve for military purposes. 

Dong Hoi airport was formally begun construction to serve the civil purpose. The airport helps the economic development of tourists of Quang Binh to visit, relax and vacation.

Buon Me Thuot Airport

Buon Me Thuot was built in 1950, playing an important role in the development of economic, security and tourism of Buon Me Thuot city. 

Then, the US puppet government renovated this airport to do as air command in 1970. 

In 1972, Buon Me Thuot city was successfully liberated and the airport was reused and upgraded to serve civilian aviation. 

Currently, Buon Me Thuot airport welcomes nearly 1 million passengers each year. 

 

Rach Gia Airport
