Thien Ha Cave is known as "galaxy in the heart of the mountain," located in the east of Son Ha Commune, Nho Quan District, Ninh Binh Province. Hidden within the Tuong Mountain range – a majestic natural wall that once protected the ancient capital of Hoa Lu in the 10th century, this cave was only discovered in 2007 and officially opened to tourists in 2010.

Thien Ha Cave

Thien Ha cave is situated in Son Ha commune, Ninh Binh province, surrounded by the Tuong mountain range. The specialist discovered this cave in 2007, and it officially opened to travelers in 2010. 

Thien Ha Cave is 700m long, consisting of a 200m dry cave and a 500m water cave. The total area of the cave is up to 12,000m2.

How to get to Thien Ha cave?

Thien Ha cave is about 21km from Ninh Binh city and 115km from Hanoi city. You can get to this cave by many ways, such as motorbike, private car or bus. 

From Hanoi, you can book a motorbike. This is a good option for adventurous backpackers. However, you need an international driving license. If you want to save money, you can take a bus. However, the best option is a private car to Ninh Binh from Hanoi. It takes about 2 hours, allowing you to travel at your own pace with a friendly driver. 

In addition, book a package tour at Vietnam Trust Car Company. We will plan the itinerary, including the pickup, tour guide, entrance fee, and food.  If you want to approach Thien Ha cave, you must take a boat trip in 15 minutes on the Ben Dang river. Then, you lead a 300m stone path to the cave entrance.
