Khai Dinh Tomb is situated in Thuy Bang commune, Huong Thuy district, Hue city, approximately 10 km far away from city center.
In the final 19th century, King Khai Dinh decided to choose Chau Chu mountain to build as the final resting place. So, the King conducted the construction of the royal house with the name Ung Lang on September 4, 1920. This tomb was quite costly but the most beautiful tomb in the Hue royal ones.

You continue walk the next 29 steps from Tam Quan gate to Nghi Mon and Bai Dinh courtyard of Khai Dinh Tomb. Entering the gate, you will see the statues of courtiers and soldiers, stand tall in the yard. It is recreating a magnificent scene during King Khai Dinh’s reign.
Each statue was adorned with motifs to showcase the culture and customs of Vietnamese from 1916 to 1925.
