Long Son Pagoda Overview

Long Son Pagoda is located on 23/10 street, Phuong Son ward, Nha Trang city, Khanh Hoa province. The pagoda was originally called Dang Long Tu and built in 1886 at another place by an abbot from Vinh Xuong , Khanh Hoa - Thich Ngo Chi ( 1856 - 1935). 

However, in 1900, there was a typhoon that devastated Long Son Pagoda. So, the pagoda was relocated to its current position, at the foot of Trai Thuy mountain.

The Vietnamese War destroyed the Long Son Pagoda in 1968 after renovating and expanding in 1940. Long Son Pagoda is currently one of the best ancient pagodas in Vietnam, attracting visitors annually.
