Tran Quoc Pagoda is built in 541 due to King Ly Nam De directed. After more than 4 years, the pagoda was formally completed.
The pagoda is constructed on the bank of the Red river and its name is Khai Quoc Pagoda.
Because the Red river bank crumbled, King Le King Tong decided to move the pagoda to Golden Fish and changed it to Tran Quoc Pagoda.

Incense burner
The Front House is called Tien Duong, located in front of the bell tower. You still see an incense burner in the yard. This is a place that people are thrilled.
Situated on the right of Tien Duong, you can see the ancestor house, which is worshiping the monks.
On the left of Front House is Nha Bia which holds 14 important steles engraved in the stage from 1813 to 1815.

How to get to Tran Quoc Pagoda?
This pagoda is about 5 km from the city center, it takes about 15 minutes to drive to Tran Quoc pagoda.
Tourists may reach many transportations such as private cars, buses, taxis, and motorbikes.
You can catch bus No.50 to transfer straight to the pagoda. Besides, some route buses to get Tran Quoc Pagoda are No. 31, 41, 55A, 55B or 58. All of them stop at An Duong bus stop, take a walk around 5 minutes to get there.
In addition, getting to the pagoda, you may book a taxi by grabbing on your phone. If you want to explore Hanoi street, renting a motorbike is the best option.
