Lung Cu flag tower, located in the Dong Van district of Ha Giang province, is the most northern point of Vietnam.

On top of Dragon Mountain, at an elevation of more than 1,400 meters above mean sea level, you'll find the tower. The very first flagpole was erected during the reign of Ly Thuong Kiet, which was a thousand years ago. Best Time To Visit Lung Cu Flag Tower

Visits to Lung Cu are welcome at any time of the year; however, just like the rest of Ha Giang, the mountains in this area are prone to mist and fog, which can make visibility difficult. The summer months, particularly July and August, have a greater potential for precipitation than the winter months do. It is possible for it to become rather chilly here during the winter months of December and January.

The optimum time to go to the market is in the early morning, between the hours of 5 and 10 in the morning.

How to get to Lung Cu Flag Tower?

You can travel from Hanoi to Ha Giang by many means of transportation such as motorbike, car/taxi, public bus... If you are starting your trip in Hanoi, the first step in getting to Ha Giang City is to take either an overnight bus or a daily mini bus. It is around 160 kilometers from here to Lung Cu, and you can get there by motorbike or car with a private driver. 

Along the route, there are a number of fantastic places to halt, such as Tham Ma Pass, Quan Ba, and Hmong King Palace. If you are coming from Dong Van, the distance is only 25 km, but because the roads wind through the mountains, the journey can take up to an hour.

Having a rental car waiting for you when you get there can relieve a lot of worry, whether you're going on a vacation with your family, going on a work trip, or going away for a long weekend. You will only need to pick it up, go to your location, and then return it when you are finished using it.

Instead of relying on public transportation, it is strongly recommended that you look into renting a private automobile. It is a great way to travel your family from one location to another without having to go through the stress of buying tickets for buses, trains, or airplanes.
