Moc Chau

When celebrating the Lunar New Year in Vietnam, Moc Chau is a wonderful destination to go to. It is a well-known vacation spot, and during Tet, the sights there are even more breathtaking than usual.

If you travel toward the end of January or early February, you'll be able to view the sakura and plum blooms in their full glory. This makes it the ideal time to visit. It's just like strolling through a beautiful garden in paradise! You may also take in the breathtaking views of the large flower fields and tea plantations that are in the area.

Moc Chau is home to a number of homestays and resorts where you may spend the night, take in the mountain air, and feast on regional specialties while you're there. Tam Đảo

During the hectic Lunar New Year celebrations in Ho Chi Minh metropolis, a trip to Tam Dao is the ideal way to escape the chaos of the metropolis. Since it is constantly colder here than it is in other regions of Vietnam, you will be able to appreciate the lovely beauty of the mountains and woods in addition to the pleasant temperature.

You have the option of going to either the Silver Waterfall, which is around fifty meters high or the Van Pagoda, which offers a breathtaking perspective of the landscape in all directions. Chayote and Hill chicken are local delicacies, therefore if you're a gourmet, you shouldn't leave this area without having had both of them.

Sapa

During the Tet holiday, one of the best places to visit in Vietnam during Tet Holiday is to spend time in Sapa.

Northern Vietnam is home to a gorgeous mountainous area that is home to highland towns and crops that have been terraced. Incredible photographic chances present themselves thanks to the vibrant brocade fabric and the Hoang Lien Son range.

You have the opportunity to discover the surrounding communities and have a better understanding of the local culture. You may also go to Fansipan Peak, the highest peak in Indochina, by taking a cable car up the mountain.

Hoi An, a small town with well-preserved old architecture that goes back to the 15th to 19th centuries, is one of the best places to visit in Vietnam during Tet Holiday.

You should make plans to spend at least two to three days in this location in order to get the most out of what it has to offer.

During the time of the Lunar New Year, the streets of the town are adorned with brightly colored lanterns and flowers of every kind. You may go sightseeing at the Japanese Bridge, the historic residences, and the local markets, where you can sample delectable regional cuisine and purchase quaint mementos to remind you of your trip.

Tips for traveling Tet Holiday

When traveling to any of these locations for the Lunar New Year, there are a few things that you should bear in mind, as recommended by yours truly:

Avoid the first day of Tet.

People in Vietnam put a halt to all business activity during the first few days of the Lunar New Year so that they may spend more time with their family. That indicates that no businesses or restaurants will be open, so you should make appropriate preparations in advance. Travel either before Tet or after the third day, whichever comes first.

Book in advance ( accommodation, transportation and restaurant reservation weeks)

Because the Lunar New Year is the busiest period of the year in Vietnam, it is crucial that you book your accommodations, transportation, and excursions in advance in order to prevent any unanticipated complications.

When haggling, use extreme caution.

Because it is the holiday season, it is important to keep in mind that the costs of food and transportation may be somewhat increased from their normal levels.

Consider cultural traditions

Vietnamese people observe a number of traditions and practices during Tet that may not be known to visitors. It's important to honor and be aware of these traditions, such as delivering presents to hosts and dressing in crimson for good fortune.

Get your "li xi" (lucky money) ready.

Put some fortunate money in envelopes and hand them out to the individuals you meet to put a smile on their faces.

Don't forget to present "li xi" to the personnel of any stores, cafes, or hotels from which you've benefited. You probably won't miss more than a few of dollars, but they'll go nuts over it.

Explore the region's cuisine

If you've never had Vietnamese food before, the Lunar New Year is the ideal opportunity to experience some of the special delicacies that are only served at this time of year. Banh Chung, Mut Tet, and dried candied fruits are just a few of the local delights that you shouldn't pass up.

Vietnamese folks have a lot of fun and enjoy the joyful mood during the Lunar New Year. Experience the genuine essence of Tet by participating in local celebrations, such as seeing dragon dances and taking in the festive mood. This is a good idea for Tet Holiday in Vietnam.

Following the aforementioned advice and suggestions, your vacation to Vietnam for the Lunar New Year will be one you'll always remember. We wish you the best of times in Vietnam throughout the Tet holiday.
