The Vinh Trang Pagoda is the greatest pagoda of Tien Giang Province, in an area of 2,000m2 with many beautiful trees. It was built in 1849 in My Phong village, My Tho City, in the shape of a “Nation” letter of Chinese characters. The pagoda includes four large departments connected with each other: the front department, the main department, the worship department and the back department, bearing a combination of European-Asian architecture and creating a splendid beauty, solemnity, but purity.

14. Jade Buddha Temple (chùa Phật Ngọc Xá Lợi pagoda). Add: 287A, QL 80, Vinh Hoa hamlet, Tan Ngai commune, Vinh Long city, Vinh Long province. It is 8 kms away from Vinh Long city. It was built in 1970 and is 1 of the most famous pagodas in Mekong.

The temple of Ba Chua Xu, a protector goddess, was constructed in 1820 at the foot of Sam Mountain, to the west of the town of Chau Doc.

After around 30 minute on boat from An Thoi, you will reach Hon Thom Island where you can admire the beauty of a coastal fishing village. The image of the fishermen sitting for a knitting fishing net next to the temporary houses on the beach shall give you the special feeling about a peaceful village.

29. U-Minh Ha National Park. Tel: 0290 3910 020. Add: Vo Doi hamlet, Khanh Binh Tay Bac commune, Tran Van Thoi district, Ca Mau province. It is 42 kms away from the center of Ca Mau city.
The park has an area of 82.86 square kilometers and was established on 20 January 2006 to protect low wetland ecosystem in the region. Fauna and flora found here include mangrove, snake, turtle, bird, amphibian.
Bordered by Ca Mau, the largest mangrove forest beyond the Amazon basin covers 1000 sq km. Home to endangered mammals, including the hairy-nosed otter and the fishing cat, and 187 bird species.
The people living in U Minh Hạ Forest have occupations related to the forest such as raising bees, fishing, catching eels, and planting fruit trees. They are very protective of their home. The people of the forest rely on the start of the rainy season for the forest to turn into a large breeding ground for fish, so that they can catch the fish.
30. Pirate Island (Đảo Hải Tặc). Add: Pirate Island, which is in the Gulf of Thailand, belongs to Tien Hai commune, Ha Tien city, Kien Giang province. It is 28 kms away from Ha Tien city mainland, and is 40 kms from Phu Quoc Island.
Visitors to Hai Tac (Pirate) Island in Kien Giang Province can dive for sea urchins and eat them raw as local fishermen do.The island in the Ha Tien archipelago is not as well known as Phu Quoc Island, but its pristine landscapes are beginning to attract more tourists.
Sea urchins usually reproduce between the third and sixth lunar months. They are often eaten raw with a bit of mustard after being caught. The meat has a light yellow hue and a creamy taste.
To get to the island, visitors can depart from the pier in Ha Tien city.
Accommodation on the island is still basic. Apart from diving and fishing, you can also explore life on the island by renting motorbikes.
covered in lush vegetation and with clear blue waters, has a sordid 500-year history as a pirate haven that only came to an end during the reunification in 1975. Today the inhabitants make their living from the sea.
A paved motorbike trail circles the island; you can hike up to the hill temple and visit the tranquil beach, and if you come with a Vietnamese speaker, you can arrange to go out with the fishers.
Besides the 2000-or-so inhabitants who reside in the four small, scrappy fishing villages, there's an army base on top of the hill, keeping a vigilant eye out for potential invaders from Cambodia.
Rumours of pirate treasure have circulated for years, and in 1983 the army promptly expelled from Vietnam a couple of foreign treasure seekers who arrived illegally by boat from Cambodia, equipped with metal detectors.
The best beach on the island is Bai Bac on the northern coast, which also offers some local beach shacks to feast on fresh seafood. A day trip is possible, but there are now several places to stay, including some basic homestays and guesthouses. Boat trips to nearby islands are available for a negotiable 250,000d. Going out on a fishing boat at night, you may see the sparkly shapes of fish shooting through the water, thanks to the phosphorescence phenomenon.
