1. The Jesus Christ’s Statue (it’s also known as Extending Hand Christ’s Statue or Saint George’s Statue). Add: Thuy Van str, ward 2, Vung Tau city. It is the 32 metres high statue on the top of 170 metres high NHO mountain. It is the tallest Jesus Christ’s Statue in Asia. Prior to Covid-19 pandemic, a lot of tourists came there daily.

3. White Palace. Tel:0254 3512 560. Add: Add:  6, Tran Phu str, ward 1, Vung Tau city. It is 11 kms away from the center of Vung Tau city. It is a famous Cultural and Historical Site in Vung Tau. Built in 1898 by the French as a summer holiday house of French Governor General Paul Doumer. The exterior surface of the White Palace is decorated with ancient drawings and portraits of saints’ ancient Greece.

4. The Robert Taylor Museum Of World Wide Arms. Cell phone Ms Trang: +84908367566. Add: 98, Tran Hung Dao str, ward 1, Vung Tau city. It is 10 kms away from the center of Vung Tau city. This is the weapon museum of a 70-year-old British man in Vietnam.

The private collection consists of 2500 items ranging from guns and swords to army uniforms dating back to between the 17th- 20th centuries. They originated from nations around the world including The UK, Fance, Germany, Russia, Japan and the Netherlands.

5. Vung Tau Lighthouse. Add: 16, Hai Dang str, ward 2, Vung Tau city. Located on the top of a small mountain (also called Tao Phung Mountain), the lighthouse has a circular tower, 18m high, covered with a delicate white paint, prominent on the blue sky. The place is surrounded by beautiful green canopy. It attracts a lot of tourists to visit.

Vung Tau Lighthouse is considered the oldest among 79 lighthouses in Vietnam. Specially it is the symbol of Vung Tau City. France built this site in 1862 to signal and instruct ships to cross.

6. Long Tan Cross. Cell phone: +8498 998 95 97. Add: Long Tan commune, Dat Do district, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province. It is 25 kms away from the center of Vung Tau city. 7. SAS Hill at Australian Base at Nui Dat. (Australia’s Task Force Base). Add: Long Phuoc commune, Ba Ria city, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province. It is 22 kms away from the center of Vung Tau city.

Because of a military political and economic important strategic position, Long Phuoc was always a fiercely disputed area between Vietnam and enemies during the two resistance wars against the French colonialists and US imperialists.

Throughout the years of fierce wars, an unique and famous tunnel system was created here under the leadership of the Vietnam communist Party. Therefore, on the date of 1/9/1990, the Ministry of Culture – Information recognized the Long Phuoc tunnel was a national level historical monument. Since then, Ba Ria – Vung Tau General Museum has restored and embellished twice Long Phuoc tunnel relic to serve visitors and educate traditions for young generations.

Ba Ria town has recently invested billions to build Long Phuoc Temple which is next to the relic, as a public attribution for people who sacrificed for their homeland.
